Mr. Schmidt is a certified environmental protection technician and has taken supplemental education at the Ernst-Abbe-Hochschule Jena in the field of environmental measurement and process engineering. Since 2001 he has been active in the sampling of groundwater, soil, construction materials and other matrices in accordance with accredited standards in Germany and those of relevant neighbouring countries. In recent years, his specialisation has narrowed on groundwater monitoring for remediation and land surveying networks.
