Today the team of professionals at INNO-CON provide management and environmental consulting services to a broad variety international public and private organisations. Our company has an integrated management system for quality, environmental protection, occupational health and safety, and data protection, which has been continuously certified according to ISO 9001 since 1999.
From 1999 to 2006, we were accredited by DAR according to ISO 17025. Additionally, since 2024, we have been participating in the "Occupational Safety with System" program of BGRCI and are working towards certification of our occupational management system. For data security, we have successfully completed Level 1 of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model.
Short Biography Svoboda Schmidt
Ms. Schmidt graduated from the University of Chemical Technology in Sofia with a MSc. Eng. in Chemical Technology and earned a MSc in Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development. Since 2005, she has also been a lead auditor, performing audits for quality, environment, sustainability, energy, and occupational health and safety. Ms. Schmidt gained production and team-leading experience in an integrated steel mill.
Short Biography Heiko Schmidt
Mr. Schmidt earned a Diplom-Ingenieur (Master’s degree) from the Martin-Luther-University. He is licensed as a lead auditor for the certification of management systems for environment, quality, energy and GRI at DQS. Mr. Schmidt gained his first professional experience working in agriculture and energy supply. He accumulated valuable legal experience as head of a legal supervisory authority (Rechtsaufsichtsbehörde). Since starting his private company, he has headed environmental and other projects in more than 20 countries.
Innovation & Consulting
Our company was founded during the height of the reestablishment of Eastern Germany into Germany and has been active throughout Germany and Eastern Europe since 1992 under the former company “LUCON”.
In 2003, our company bought the “Environmental Innovation Center” (Umweltinnovationszentrum) and incorporated it into our company by 2006.
In 2006, the Eurofins Group acquired the majority share of the laboratory department of LUCON and the consulting department was transferred into the Innovation & Consulting Ltd. (a.k.a INNO-CON).
Globalization
While the majority of our jobs are realized in Bulgaria and Germany, we have also had great experiences working in many countries throughout Europe & the Balkans and in several countries in the Americas.
We have been fortunate to have met many capable local partners with which we can work together and acquire local support for the realization of international projects.
One of our key strengths is to provide multilingual competence to the Central and Eastern European Countries. We have worked in the following countries:
