Mr. Schmidt earned a Diplom-Ingenieur (Master’s degree) from the Martin-Luther-University. Mr. Schmidt gained his first professional experience working in agriculture and energy supply. He accumulated valuable legal experience as head of a legal supervisory authority (Rechtsaufsichtsbehörde). Since starting his private company, he has headed environmental and other projects in more than 20 countries.
