Joint event of the Association of German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK), the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK), the Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations (OA) and the German-Bulgarian Forum (DBF)
In the run-up to the German-Bulgarian Business Forum, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev received representatives of the Bulgarian community in Germany at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria. The Bulgarian Voices Berlin opened the evening musically. The chairman of the German-Bulgarian Forum, Dr. Volker Berresheim (German Foreign Office), and his deputy, Heiko Schmidt (INNO-CON), embraced the opportunity to personally discuss social and economic issues with the Bulgarian President.
On Monday, May 16, 2022, a high-level forum was held in honor of the Bulgarian President Rumen Radev at the House of German Industry. The event was organized by the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK), the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK), the Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations (OA) and the German-Bulgarian Forum (DBF).
Dr. Volker Treier, Head of Foreign Trade and Member of the Executive Board of DIHK, opened the Economic Forum before the floor was turned to the President of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev. In his speech, Radev spoke about Bulgaria’s current economic policy situation and German-Bulgarian economic relations and prospects.
On the sidelines of the two events, expectations became clear that companies that have withdrawn from Russia could consider alternative locations in Bulgaria. INNO-CON sees positive signals for its business in this country in such a development.
